Come join our quilting group!  This group meets the 2nd Friday of each month at the church in room #402, which is right off of the gym. 10:00am to 2:00pm. Mary Rice is the quilting coordinator and you can give her a call with any questions at: 756-1827 or email her at: quiltinmary@gmail.com

They will be working on quilts for Orphans to send along on upcoming mission trips, with quilts going to  the Czech Republic, Uganda etc. (Donations of 100% Cotton would be appreciated!)

Last year the group made “Welcome to the Family” baby quilts, 12 quilts for the orphanage in Thailand, 10 “Quilts of Valor”  for VA hospitals and a King size quilt for the “Wings” auction here in Kalispell.

This year they have made 10 Baby quilts and are working on quilts for Uganda and have been requested to work on quilts for the Czech Republic and the Women’s Shelter.

There are also plans to host a Childrens Quilting Camp this summer. If you are interested in donating supplies or gift cards to JoAnn’s, Glacier Quilts or the Quilt Gallery please let Mary know. They will need items such as cutting boards, rulers, pins, scissors, batting and material (100% cotton).

Coming soon is our second annual Ladies Conference. This year it will be September 26 and 27th.

It is archery season for the men, but if you have children, please let the guys know that they will need to plan ahead and come up with a fun family activity for that Friday eve and Saturday, so that you can attend the conference!

“Take Flight” is our theme and we will have a focus on Missions around the World. We’ll hear inspiring stories, eat, laugh, win prizes, and worship. Our speakers will be Anne De Graaf from Amsterdam, Robin Jones Gunn, of Sister Chicks fame, and Tricia Goyer, our own Easthaven celebrity Author! Each one is an accomplished author and speaker. We’ll come away inspired to become involved in Missions even if it is from our own living rooms. As always, if you would like to help with our conferences Please let us know!  The more the merrier!

We have spots available if you would like to help with Promotion, Childcare, Kitchen Help, Registration, Book Tables, and Greeting. We can give you a small job or a big one. You choose! (the more help we have the easier the task for everyone!)
